Although there was a scheduled storm forming, Amber had insisted on searching the orchards too, at least until the storm broke. Midnight shivered as the chilled wind picked up and caused the trees to groan eerily. The sun was blotted out by the looming dark clouds, but Midnight could still guess it was around sunset.

Midnight: Astraaallll!!
Amber: Astraaaa!! Are you out herreeee?!!
Midnight: *sighs* I'm sorry Amber, I'm worried about your friend too but I think this is a lost cause. It looks like the storm could break any minute too. *worriedly looks at the ominous clouds overhead*
Amber: *sighs* ...Where could she have gone..? *thunder rumbles nearby* ...I guess that's our cue to get inside. *rain starts to come down, starting to soak them* Shoot. Let's hurry on out of this rain... *looks around*
Midnight: What's wrong?
Amber: ... Weren't we searching the west orchards? This, doesn't look like the west section.... Well, if we are in the west then the house should be to the east, so... This way!
*they start galloping east as the rain becomes a downpour*

Amber: ...We should've reached the house by now!
Midnight: So we're lost?
Amber: ... No; these are my orchards, I know them like the back of my hoof! It's just uh, so hard to see in this confounded rain!
Midnight: Oh wait, I see some lights over there! *shakes herself and they start galloping towards the shelter*
Amber: *as they near the building* Oh hey, this is Mrs. Fluttershy's cottage! We must've wandered into the east orchards before we ended up here. *knocks on the door and shakes herself*
???: Hello? *opens the door a little bit* Oh it's you Amber! What are you doing out in the rain? Come in, come in! *opens door*
Amber: Harmony, there's somepony else-
Harmony: *hovers around a bit* Did you find anything regarding Astral? I searched the Everfree with my dad but we didn't see her-
Amber: *slowly trots inside* Harmony I'm not the only one-
Harmony: I'm actually glad it was you who needed shelter; dad's still out searching so I'm stuck like this-
Amber: HARMONY, I BROUGHT A GUEST!
Midnight: *staring at Harmony's strange appearance*
Harmony: Oh gosh! *covers herself with hair self consciously*
Midnight: Oh I didn't mean to stare, sorry.
Amber: Midnight, you seem like a nice mare but I will tell you this only once- Breathe one word of Harmony's true appearance to anyone and I'll buck you into the next century.
Midnight: You mean, you're ashamed of how you look?
Harmony: ...Yes.. *stops hovering*
Amber: I'm Harmony's closest friend so I accept her, differences; but it might alarm others or give her unwanted attention. That's why she chooses to disguise herself around everyone- except me.
Midnight: Okay, I promise I won't breathe a word of it.
Amber: Good.
Midnight: I hope I'm not imposing here but, by seeing your random animal body parts, I'm assuming you're Discord's daughter? 
Harmony: ...*cowers on floor* *whispers* Yes..
Midnight: So why are you... In Mrs. Fluttershy's home?
Amber: *gives Midnight a weird look* Fluttershy is her mother, why else?
Midnight: !!! B-but... Discord married Celestia! I thought he was just good friends with Fluttershy... What about Prince Confusion and Unity? I guessed the difference here was simply that our parents had different kids for some reason... But I didn't expect anything like this! What does this mean? Does this mean Discord could have just as well married Fluttershy? Does Discord love both Celestia and Fluttershy? What if in my universe, Discord strays from Celestia? That could cause uprisings, maybe even war! And what about Mr. Macintosh? Who would he have ended up with? *shudders as she imagines Fluttershy and Discord as a couple*
Amber: *trying to encourage Harmony to break out of her shell* Can't you see the resemblance? Why, she's prettier than a blooming petunia in spring! Just like her mom. *comfortingly smiles at her*
Harmony: ... *starts to reemerge from her shell and gets back up* I don't think I'm as pretty as her, but thanks Amber. I feel better now. Since you've already seen me, Midnight, I might as well tell you what you need to know then. So yes, I am the daughter of Fluttershy and Discord; I love my father dearly but I'm really self conscious of my appearance, and am afraid of the dark powers I might have inherited from him... That sums it up I think.
Midnight: *shakes her head to clear her thoughts and smiles* Well if it helps, I agree with Amber, you sure did inherit your mom's beauty. *smiles warmly* I don't think we were really introduced; I'm Midnight Shine, a uh, traveling writer. I bumped into Amber in town and ended up helping search for Astral.
Harmony: *blushes from their compliments* You guys are really too kind.. Nice to meet you, Midnight. I'm Harmonia, though everyone just calls me Harmony. *bows head politely* Now, would you two like to join us for dinner? Mom is making some delicious salad.
Amber: We'd love to, thanks.
