My Headcanon Future: Twilight

After Princess Twilight Sparkle went to the (almost) human dimension and met Flash Sentry, things were a bit awkward between them. Well rather just awkward with her. She had met him in this parallel universe and they almost dated, and now here he is, in her universe, and has no idea. They bumped into each other and she was at a loss for words, gaping at him like a total dork! Thankfully she was going home tomorrow and could just get over it. She had more important things to think about, like how to be a princess, and how to use her new wings. Everypony knew she liked him too, after Pinkie inexplicably explained it. So the next day Twilight was a little ticked off when she found out Cadence ordered Flash to be her personal guard while she was in the Crystal Empire 'for no particular reason'. He had to follow her around all day and tend to her needs. At lunch they started conversing and he noticed she was acting weird. So when he asked, she sighed and decided to tell him the awkward truth; that in another universe she met him and they went to prom together so she knew him but he didn't know her at all. He just laughed and said 'I guess we're destined for each other then'. After that she felt a lot better and they talked all throughout the day, getting to know each other. When it was finally time to go home, Twilight was a little downcast. The first she ever really noticed a guy and he has to always be in the Crystal Empire. She couldn't sleep later that night.

Then Twilight was shocked when a few days later she got a letter from Cadence that stated 'Flash Sentry is hereby stationed in Ponyville to act as Princess Twilights personal guard.' Not to long after, he arrived at her doorstep. Eventually she got used to him always being by her side, and they became pretty close thus. Finally after about a month he asked her out, which she'd been waiting for the day she bumped into him. They dated for a while and went through a few complications; like dealing with a long-distance relationship when Twilight has to go somewhere for royal business, or handling the press. After dating for about 2 years, Flash proposed, and they had a grand royal wedding. They added in another throne next to Twilight's (on the opposite side of Spike's) for her newest council member. About 4 months after they had been happily married, Twilight got pregnant and had their daughter. She was a white unicorn with dark blue hair with purple streaks and her father's blue eyes. They named her Midnight Shine.

Midnight Shine was a very smart and talented filly. She had her mom's high I.Q and was a fast learner, and her dad's good strategizing and leadership skills (cuz he's a royal guard and all). Her magic was very strong as everyone had expected; her mother being very talented herself, and being an alicorn with even stronger magic, and being the Element of Magic. She trained herself in magic a lot too, and everyone had high hopes for her to be the next Princess of Magic. That was great and all, and she did strive to become that, but sometimes she'd much rather just relax and hang out with her friends. She can be a bit lazy sometimes, mostly relying on her horn to do stuff. Midnight is not nearly as much as a worry-wart as her mother, and often has a chill attitude, which she obviously gets from her father; and is socially awkward like her mother. Nevertheless she is a great friend and tries to hang out with her friends whenever she can. Her closest friends are Mirage and Primary Streak.

Midnight got her cutie mark when she had a sudden burst of powerful magic and she accidentally changed the phase of the moon to a crescent, which you can imagine how Luna flipped out. It showed her magical potential from doing a complicated and powerful spell like that at such a young age. Her cutie mark appeared when she awoke from the burst.

Nowadays Midnight studies magic and works as a teacher at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, and has fun in her spare time. Her mom attends to her royal duties as the Princess of Friendship; while Flash still acts Twilight's personal guard and now as a part of her council. They are all usual very busy but occasionally get the chance to have a nice, quiet, family day.
